Sandham Lane Allotments

Sandham Lane Allotment site is in Ripley, Derbyshire.

It's a small site of almost an acre, split up into 20 plots which are mostly rented out as half plots.

We are a relaxed, friendly site and our plot holders are of a range of ages and experience and use a variety of methods.

A quote from one of our plot holders:

"I love going to the allotment. Being busy outside with a Robin for company. Then the added bonus of fruit and vegetables with much more taste than any you buy. Extra bonus from the funny shapes they sometimes appear in and the benefit of trying new things. Just have to develop patience with the slugs and pigeons! My grandson has been coming with me sometimes. After bad bullying at school it has proved a great outlet for him and an opportunity to talk in a quiet, safe place."
